However you have come to this site, I want to share with you the reason I am here.
Jesus Christ is the reason for this blog. He is the very reason that I can honestly say I love my life. As women we can agree that life is downright hard. There are no easy answers and problems often come at us faster than we can process.
But God is.
These three simple words have changed the way I look at life. I used to be someone who felt that I had to have it all together-all the time. I felt that if I wasn’t a step ahead, that I would fall five steps behind and never catch up. God had some amazing ways of helping me realize that I need to only set my eyes and heart on Him and ask Him what He wants next.
I know this all sounds simplistic and trite, but really it comes down to a matter of my heart attitude. I had to come with terms with my own false belief that I was the center of my world and not God. This was a painful realization and hard to admit.
But God sent his son Jesus for women like me and you. God came to earth to have a relationship with us. One that was strong and true, loving and holy, and faithful. Always.
A lot of things in life can let us down and a lot of things in life can get in our way of accepting Him. We can come up with all kinds of excuses as to why we can not spend time with God, or don’t have the time to get on our knees. Time, kids, our own idols, feelings of inadequacy, fear, frustration over the way “life” is going, health, finances. We each have our own list.
The truth is, God will wait.
But God is…
But God is patient
But God is faithful
But God is loving
But God is reliable
But God is peace
But God is just
But God is provision
But God is Savior
But God is Redeemer
But God is Rescuer
Whatever you are hoping He is, God has that quality. He is everything wrapped up in being. God is all these things and more and when we put our trust and faith in Him we get to experience this to the fullest.
The Bible says in Hebrews 6:9:
“…dear friends, we are convinced of better things in your case-the things that have to do with salvation.”
God wants your best. He loves you so much He sent his Son to die a horrific death on a cross to take all our shameful sins, thoughts, and actions on Himself–forever. He wants us to be with Him so badly He was willing to sacrifice this for us.
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have everlasting life.”John 3:16
When He rose from the dead three days later…He defeated death and showed that He had conquered. Forever.
We never have to go back to being “that way”. We can claim His promises and rest in His arms of grace, love and mercy.
So today, if you have not put your faith in Jesus, will you do so? He promises our salvation, if we believe!

And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, 18 may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, 19 and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.Ephesians 3:14-19
