Are you feeling pulled in a million different directions?
Do you long for just a few minutes of quiet? A place to put up your weary feet and have your soul fed, because tired is an ever-present friend?
Since you are wearing so many hats, is your list of to-do’s more pressing than the list of want-to’s?
Does the burden and busyness of life feel crushing?
Or maybe today hasn’t been too bad. Maybe everything went as planned and you were able to meet all the demands. But you are still tired and you have no idea if tomorrow will go as smoothly.
Believe me, I get it. I am a wife, a mom of three, and a teacher of young children. Reality is, hiding isn’t possible–or even practical because our people need us and we have responsibilities.
If you are like me, you are in longing to find a place that brings rest and encouragement in the middle of the busy and crazy places.
We have a calling on our lives and we want to do it well, but life can be messy and hard.
Life can also be beautiful, gracious, and the very fabric of what makes us who we are.
Our experiences tell our story. Our inspiration and dreams shape us.
Let this place bring some peace and quiet for your soul. Through timely stories, quiet messages of hope, and beautiful pictures, here you will breathe in the air of refreshment that Jesus offers.
The lessons we learn teach us so that we may teach others.
So, allow yourself a few minutes to rest in the promises He brings and the joy that comes from knowing Him.
Because He walks beside us, we are never alone. You are loved and so very precious.
Come with me as we experience Him together!!

The key to remembering the strength of God is trusting He already has given us the tools we need.
The early morning quiet took me by surprise. Armed with my Bible and a strong cup of coffee I was determined to enjoy the weather on my front porch. The day would be full of video teaching and zoom calls. Man, I was tired. This was taking a lot out of this mama and my…
The story is written like a movie script. A father with twelve sons. Some of them loud, some quieter, and a couple clearly favorite. Then a scheme to silence one unfolds, and before we know it he is on a ride to Egypt, his brothers waving in the rearview mirror. Maybe it is because I…
Against the backdrop of a dirt yard and a shut down world, my flowering plum trees seems extra breathtaking this month. It could be that I am noticing the little things more. I am reflecting on life a little deeper, as I suspect you may be. I recently was reminded, through these simple trees of…
Margaret Phillips has written a beautifully crafted, simple read, entitled The Marriage Ark: Securing Your Marriage in a Sea of Uncertainty.
